A huge double header kicks off the 2017 Junior and Senior Motocross Championship with the Goldfields Motorcycle Club with support of City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder hosting Round One on Easter weekend – 15th & 16th April 2017.
Saturday will see the Junior Quads making their 2017 debut at the Goldfields track and they will be sure to bring their best to the track.
Round 1 at Kalgoorlie is the first of the 3 rounds for the Junior Quads in the 2017 Junior State Championships, with a number of riders moving up to the next class we are set to see some exciting racing and it could be anyone's race once the gate drops.
Limited 60cc-90cc 2 stroke 90cc-110cc 4 stroke:
This year will see defending champion Nicole McDonald line up against some new faces and some old stiff competition.
In the mostly Girls class will see McDonnell, Pearse, Murphy, Young, Buckley will be pushing thee limited machines to the edge lap after lap to try and come out on top/
Competition 60cc-90cc 2 stroke 90cc-125cc four stroke:
As the 2016 defending champ has moved up a class this year this has left the door open a new rider to be crowned State champion at the conclusion of round 3. the grudge match between Lough, Hollins and Murphy will undoubtedly be fierce but not to be overlooked is the stiff completion from Pearse, McDonnell, Buckley, Schmid, Dowsett, Sari Lough Hayes Just to name a few will be all nipping at the heels to try and gain the top step of the podium.
200cc-300cc Blaster class:
With the defending state champ Jae Dowsett set to continue his grudge match with Jakob Bososutow the big field of riders behind will be looking for any mistake from these guys to move up a position on race day. With a lot of new faces in this class, 3x national champ and 2016 state champ (90cc class rider) Joshua Mc Quade will be looking to put the moves on his former rival Dowsett after moving up to this class this year. Campione, Soltoggio, Burton, Browne will also be tough contenders as racing has shown already this year
