The Working with Children Check: Safeguarding in Action

The Working With Children Check's "Safeguarding in Action'' workshop is specifically designed for sport and recreation organisations and individuals.

It will also will confirm what you do know about the WWC Check and identify what you don’t know.


The workshop will cover:

Managing the risk of harm to children and your organisation.
The essentials of administering the WWC Check.
Who must have a WWC Check in the sport and recreation sector.
Continuous checking.
Dealing with critical incidents.
Child safeguarding, designing out crime and creating a positive culture.
The WWC Check: Safeguarding in Action workshop is intended for personnel who are responsible for managing the WWC Check in their sport and recreation organisations and clubs, however all interested parties are welcome. Places are limited so registration is essential.

The workshop will include practical information with examples and tips specific to sport and recreation. It is also a great opportunity to network with other industry organisations, share information and enhance child-safe practices.
