The Make Smoking History Junior State Motocross Championship heads into Round 4 at Eric Walter Park, Chidlow the home of the West Australian Junior Motocross located on Old Northam Road, Chidlow. This round will be the final round for the Junior Quads so make sure you keep Sunday the 23rd July 2017 free for some fantastic racing by the states’ best junior riders.
The Eric Walter Park circuit is the second of the hard pack tracks that the juniors will ride during this year’s championship and is a reasonably technical track with some very tight sections and a long sweeping last corner. Let’s hope the weather gods bless the riders with a reasonably dry track this year.
Our Junior Quad riders are back and this round will decide who will be the crowned champion in these classes, the racing in the Quads 60-90cc/85cc-125cc 4st Competition has been very tightly contested on points so it will all come down to who has the best starts and line choices Lough will be trying to hold on to top spot from Murphy and Hall, machine reliability could also factor in the deciding three motos.
With Fabry out of the championship this year due to injury Weinert, Di Giulio and Barnsby are looking to consolidate their points and will tussle for the top three spots on the podium in the 128-150ccc/200-250cc 13-U16 years. There should also be some heart pumping action as Manuel will be looking to stretch his lead in the 85cc 12-U16 years from, Forrester and Flynn.
Shackleton has the home track advantage over the likes of Pellicano and Connor Wiese and this should provide some awesome racing in the 50cc Auto Class. Kayden Minear will be out to hold onto his lead in the 85cc 9-U12 years from Walsh and Paice at this round before heading out to the World Championships later this month.
So make sure you don’t miss out and get down to the track on Sunday 23rd July 2017 – Racing starts 9am – full canteen and bar facilities and guaranteed fast paced bar banging action.
