This round is a double header and will be held on Saturday 16th September for our Junior Riders and Senior Riders will hit the track on the following day.
With Mother Nature not being kind and the unfortunate cancellation of the previous round WAMX is hoping that the spring prevails with some awesome weather. The track at Coastal Park is approximately 1.6 km of gruelling deep sand with various table tops and jumps and is located in Henderson 15 mins south of Fremantle overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean.
Our Demo 50cc riders will re-join us for this round, and this track will prove challenging for the little 50cc machines but we hope to see the future champions of motocross with some good numbers out there showing their skills and having fun.
Expect to see some serious battles and bar-banging action happening all over the track as the top junior rider’s battle it out for the final podiums of Season 2017. Seth Shackleton will be keen to keep take the top spot in the 50cc Auto Class but Sonny Pellicano will be keen to make up for the DNF at Chidlow and stay in ahead of Connor Wiese, who is in 3rd place currently.
Can Seth Shackleton looks the goods to make it dual class wins, he currently leads the 65cc 7-U10 years by 81 points, The battle for the minor podium positions with only 15 points separating the 2nd through to 5th we will see some fast tough racing from Kai McGinty, Charlie Weightman, Kayden Minear and Sonny Pellicano
Can Dylan Walsh the current series leader in the 85/150cc 9-U12 years secure the Championship, he holds currently a 13 point lead over Deacon Paice and 21 points from Seth Clark?
The 85/150cc 12-U16 Years Class has shown some fantastic close racing all year and no doubt it will come down to the final moto’s on the day. Seth Manuel leads 16 points clear of Conan Forrester and Brock Flynn is holding onto third place, but with anything can happen with Jake Turner not far behind.
Watch out for the young guns in the 100-125cc Classes as there is bound to be some heart thumping action as the likes of Jacob Daniels, Troy Austin and Tahlia O’Hare, in the 15 years and, Corben Weinert, Seth Manuel and Conan Forrester in the 13-U15 years hit the track trying their best to secure podium positions for the series.
