Gear up for Bunbury KTM Suzuki South West Interclub Series at Cranbrook

Ready for fumes, close racing with high flying action, and great motocross talent from five clubs? Its all happening when Cranbrook Districts MCC host Round Three of the Bunbury KTM

Suzuki South West Interclub Series on Sunday 15th July at Sukey Hill. Spectators can take in the views, walk the perimeter of the track and experience first hand what the sport of motocross is all about. Or perhaps you would really like to experience the life of a motocross rider and ruff it the night prior via camping at Sukey Hill?

This is the fourth year that Cranbrook has participated in the series which includes Bunbury, Manjimup, Collie and Southern Capes Motorcycle Clubs. It is a competition one level down from a State Round and has been a great opportunity for the club to gain an insight, train officials and confidence to move out of the “grass roots” level of operation into the motocross sphere.

The event coincides with the official opening Stage One of the Sukey Hill Regional Motorcycling Facility which is scheduled to take place at noon. This day marks an exciting milestone in the clubs history, the sport of motocross and the town site of Cranbrook.

Stage One being the Venue Access Road, Greg Moss Designed Motocross Track and the Scrutineer/First Aid Hut has been made possible because of the;

·         Close partnership the Club has developed with the Cranbrook Shire

·         The generouse grant of $200K from the Great Southern Development Commission (formally Royalties for Regions Funding)

·         Our sponsors AA Contractors from Frankland River, Harvey & Ann Baxter Bulldozing and Greg Moss from Moss Institute

·         The Shire of Cranbrook Works Team and Office Staff

·         And our Club Members many volunteer hours

“It has truly been a team effort, and a fantastic achievement for the club and promotion of the sport in the Great Southern”, Cranbrook Districts MCC president Justin Shepherd said “and I think the site has the ability to host state and national event in the future.”

Riders must be a member of one of the competing clubs. For more information visit www.cranbrookmx.com
