INFORMATION PERTAINS TO: Body Armour for Senior Riders
REASONING:
Motorcycling Australia made the use of body armour mandatory for Senior competitors in Motocross and Enduro disciplines from 1 January 2026. There has been some conjecture over what is acceptable body armour.
GCR 17.1.5 stipulates Body armour must be type C – commercially manufactured upper body protection (front and back) must be worn.
EFFECTIVE FROM: IMMEDIATELY
