Sharon Rykers
Sharon has been one of the main transponder operators for many years now, she has attended Open and State rounds all over the state. She first started when her son was in the sport but continued even when he no longer competed as a Junior. As an operator Sharon is always one of the first people at the event and the last to leave. Her duties begin before the event with all the data entries prior, then the cleaning and returning of equipment after the event which is all done in her own time. Sharon has assisted wherever she can and has given her time, expertise, and encouragement to new operators. She has always maintained her kind and courteous attitude even when things are difficult.

Addison Orr
Addison or Beans as she is affectionately known as is a great competitor who gives it all when racing, showing excellent sportsmanship. She works very hard during training, listens, and responds to her coach and has attended training clinics with professional riders. Given her potential she has attracted sponsors and takes these obligations seriously.
Beans is respectful, mature beyond her years and fun to be around and should be commended for this. ... Expand

Motorcycling WA is supplying free one-day licences for youngsters aged 4 to 19 who have not received one before for the club’s Come and Try day on February 7th.
The event aims to allow juniors to try motocross in a safe environment, with kids placed into age and bike size groups.
All riders must wear correct motocross boots and approved helmet, chest guard, gloves and goggles and have a parent or guardian present at all times!

Regan Duffy - MWA 2020 Sportsperson of the Year. 🏋️♂️
Regan has competed at an elite level first as Junior competitor and now a Senior. Moving to the senior class has not slowed him down he continues to dominate the field in both WA State Championships and Open events, placing 1st in MX1 & MX2 Perkins Best in the West, 1st in Berry Sweet King of the Sand event and 1st in the 2020 WAMX State Championship MX1 and MX2 classes.
This year he was unable to compete on a National level due to Covid-19, Regan found himself with some time on his hands and made the decision to undertake the steps to become a coach.
Regan has always shown himself to be a great sports person and an impressive role model for the young up and coming riders in our sport. We look forward to seeing his progress in the future.

Kayden Minear- Winner of the Patron’s Trophy 🌟
Kayden has been competing in his chosen discipline for a number of years and his skills has improved year to year. This year Kayden has shown how dedication and work can lift you to the top of your field. Always being one of the top contenders in his discipline however, this year he had numerous podium wins; placing 1st in 128/250cc 13 -U16 years, 2nd in the 100-120cc 13 -U16.
Not satisfied with just participating in State rounds he entered Back to Wanneroo and placed 1st in 128-150cc/200-250cc Junior, st in 100cc-125cc Junior, 1st in 85 B/W Perkin Best in the West and 1st in the Kid of the Sand. Showing what a rising star he has become. Kayden is a familiar face within the Motocross community who has always shown great sportsmanship toward other riders around him.
